What a cool interview!

I like when he's talking about taking small planes to venues...bumping into town.

A group of friends and I did a tour like that in '83. We flew from Hayward to Vegas for the Aladdin show. Then we flew to LA for the Irvine show and then we hopped back into our rented 8 seater and flew back to Hayward and caught the three shows at the Warfield...whoa nellie that was some big fun. I'm pretty sure I sent a couple million brain cells permanently into the 12th dimension in Vegas...made the flight to LA very interesting. It was crazy landing at John Wayne airport, us in a tiny plane landing amoung the jets. The flight back up the coast was a rollercoaster ride as we spent most of the time really low and hugged the coast line...our pilot was a crazy deadhead - but he flew forest service fire drop in the Sierra's so he was good at tight space aerobatics! One of the guys has a picture from the plane window of Half Dome...upside down - yeeee-hawwww. We lived without a net!

I like how Jerry talks about the Dead being an excellent reason to travel...I couldn't agree more!
